Studio quality
Studio redraws every edge, for hair and fur. Max for thin parts.
Runs on this device
CRABOY is a background remover that runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded: not the photo, not the result.
After the cut, move the light to see what was removed. Studio quality on your own device.

Eight tools, shown as they look in the app. All of them run in your browser, on the original file.

Today’s free cutouts, 3 of 3 used
Today’s three are used.
Tomorrow brings three more. The editor works at full size: original resolution, batches of up to 500, bulk design and every export.
Data Saver is on in this browser. Studio quality downloads what it needs once, about 230 MB, and keeps it for next time. Nothing else leaves this tab.
A 1024 px preview at Studio quality; the editor keeps full resolution. The models download once, up to about 230 MB, and stay in this browser for next time; the cut itself sends nothing. The photo is not stored.
Six photographs cut out on a laptop: four at Max, finished with the editor’s own controls, and the hair and the vase at Studio. Nothing retouched. Drag to compare.

One photo was the demo. These three take the whole folder: process, design and export, one setting each, and every photo follows.
Drop a folder. One setting runs through every photo, one after another, while you do something else. Stop any time: what is finished stays finished.
Seconds of processing, running total: 0.0 s
The six photos from the results, cut one after another in the editor at Studio quality on an Apple M‑series laptop: 47 seconds of processing between them, replayed here faster than the clock. Four of the results above were run again at Max.
Background, canvas, size and position are one setting for the whole project. Change one and every cutout moves with it. Try the controls.
Up to eight exports at once: PNG, WebP or JPEG, a scale or an exact size, padded to a ratio, never cropped. Named your way and sorted into folders, into a folder you choose or one ZIP. Try it.

What people ask before they drop the first photo.
No. CRABOY computes the cutout in your browser. It downloads itself and the models once; the rest of its network use is your account (sign-in, credits, licenses), never the photo. The photo and the result stay on your device.
No. The editor is paid, with credits or Unlimited. The home page, craboy.com, cuts out three photos a day at 1K (1024 px on the long side), with no account, so you can judge the edges on your own pictures before you pay.
They differ in how much work goes into the edge. Studio cuts in two passes, and the second redraws every edge at full resolution, for hair, fur and soft edges. Max also takes a closer look at a subject that is small in the frame, so thin parts like straps, stems and wires keep their shape. The demo on craboy.com runs Studio.
Yes, with Studio or Max: the second pass redraws the edge at full resolution, so single hairs and soft fur stay. See “Braids on pink”, “Hair on black” and “White fur on black” in the results on craboy.com.
JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF, and iPhone HEIC in Safari, which opens HEIC itself; in other browsers, save a HEIC as JPEG first. The editor opens a photo at original resolution up to 58 megapixels on a computer with enough memory; a larger photo is fitted, never refused. Exports are PNG or WebP with transparency, or JPEG on a background, up to 16,384 px on the longest side. The demo on craboy.com takes JPEG, PNG and WebP and works at 1K (1024 px on the long side).
On an Apple M‑series laptop with the models already downloaded, Studio took 5.7 to 9.5 seconds for each of the six sample photos on craboy.com (2.7 to 4.6 megapixels). Max, which made four of the cutouts shown there, took 9.4 to 14.4 seconds each at full size (2.7 to 11.3 megapixels). Speed depends on your graphics card.
Yes. Drop a folder: up to 500 images in a project, one setting for all, processed one after another. Stop any time; finished stays finished, and failed images can be retried.
CRABOY itself and its models, once; they are kept in your browser for next time, and your photos are never part of it. On craboy.com, the demo runs Studio quality: its models are about 230 MB with a graphics card, about 190 MB without one. With Unlimited (monthly, yearly or the three-year pass) the editor also opens without a connection, once the models have downloaded: a 7‑day license on up to 2 computers.
Current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. Where the browser provides WebGPU, the cut runs on your graphics card; without it, Studio and Max skip their fine-edge pass.
An image uses 1 credit in any mode, and the editor shows the cost before you process. Credits never expire, an image that fails within its first minute gives its credits back (up to 5 a day), and credits are only used when no Unlimited plan is active. Unused credits are lost when the account closes and aren’t refunded. Unlimited covers every image, at any quality, for its period. Monthly and yearly renew until you cancel, at any time from Billing: the plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then ends. Their launch price covers the first term only (the first 12 months or the first year, once per account); the plan then renews at the regular price. The three-year option is a pass: one payment for 1,095 days of Unlimited, then it ends; it does not renew. Prices are before sales tax, which Whop adds at checkout where it applies.
Open the editor and drop one. Nothing is uploaded, nothing leaves your computer.
